RE: Cot for two?

I've seen the air bed/cot before, but I'm trying to stay away from inflatables all together. Seems like every year I buy a new air mattress and every year it springs a leak. Maybe I can whip something up in the workshop. Thanks for your help!

RE: family tent: Eureka vs North Face

I've been thinking about getting a Copper Canyon myself, but I'm a little concerned about stability. I camp primarily on the beach and the wind can pick up pretty fast. Are cabin style tents prone to collapsing in the wind? I'm also considering the Eureka Tetragon 1610, but I hate to give up the headroom if I don't have to. Any thoughts?

Cot for two?

I've had it with air mattresses and am thinking about investing in a cot, but everything I've seen is build for one and I'm partial to sleeping with my sweetie. Does anyone know where I could get a cot for two people? Do they even make them?
Thanks!

Need a new cooler!

Hi all.
I'm in the market for a new cooler and was hoping y'all could give me some input. I'm currently looking at a Coleman extreme 62qtthat claims to keep ice for 5 days in 90 degree(F) weather. Does anyone have one of these? Is the 5 day claim bunk? Thanks for any input!
Happy camping!

RE: walmart tent

I have an Ozark Trail with a screen porch and I've never had any trouble with it. High winds can blow it around a bit, but as long as you stake it well you should be fine. I would suggest seam sealing it before you use it just to be safe but I've never had a leak.

Keeping a tent cool(er)

Anyone have tips as to how to keep a tent cooler when camping in an area with no shade? I'm planning a trip to Ocracoke Island this summer and there are no trees on the campground. I've come up with using a tarp to shade the tent, and maybe periodically spraying the tent down with water to cool it via evaporation. Any other ideas (other than the air conditioner/duct tape solution)? Thanks!
